Drink driving UK
Hello. Throwaway for obvious reasons. My partner drink drives the morning after. He definitely has an alcohol problem. He got banned for a year and did a course. 2 years later he got banned again for 3 years. I know this is horrific and may ruin his life but I'm going to report him next time he does it. I asked advice from local police who said its a 999 call as soon as he gets in the 4x4. I can give a plate but never know what direction hes headed. It only takes him about 10 mins to get to work which is why he doesn't see an issue. A lot can happen in 10 min and if he killed someone id never forgive myself. Can I ring 999 and report ask to stay anonymous and will they pull him as a random stop. He can never find out it was me. I know it will be a lengthy ban for him. But I'm frightened he hurts someone or himself. I've asked him to stop drinking and get help. He sometimes drinks 3 bottles of wine until 1am and is driving at 8am. He will be over the limit. I'm deathly frightened he would get pulled over and they'd say someone had called it in. He would know it was me because I've asked him to stop so many times. I am concerned of the repercussions if he ever found out it was me. But I'm convinced he will harm someone if he continues. Maybe a ban will work. But the roads will be safer in that time.
