Bankruptcy question

I just got served today with a court summons for a debt I had with Venmos bank for ~$6,900. I have a few other debts totaling 10k in all including the one I just received the court order for. I do not have any assets, not even a TV. I don’t have a job at the moment, I keep getting fired. I receive a monthly payment from the VA for in service injuries. I am extremely anxious about the summons, I get paid 1700 from the VA and that is my only source of income. It covers my rent, utilities, dog and my food. I can’t afford to lose any of my check to a monthly payment.

I made a lot of mistakes from 2020-2021 and now I’m suffering for them. All I want to do is change my life but I feel like I am paying the price for my actions from 5 years ago when I am already at my lowest point. It’s funny, this has been the worst of my life by far outside of the military stuff, and 3 days before my birthday I have this happen.

I’m not sure what to do and I’m panicking after receiving this letter. Do I qualify for bankruptcy? Will the process stop the court order from happening? Is it even smart of me to consider chapter 7? Thank you all for your help.
