Question Regarding rank epaulettes for this Photo

My question was in this photo we can see a MO (Medical Officer) is doing Field First Aid but when you see his Epaulettes you see Insignia of a Mech Inf unit rather than AMC, can anybody please tell why I asked some of my friends and they also don't know. I am Just Curious
