been social chair for two years and nobody talks about how much invisible work it actually is
people show up to formals and darties and think wow this is so fun and seamless. but whoever planned it spent a week chasing headcounts, fighting with venues about deposits, remaking the guest list three times, and texting 60 people the address again 20 minutes before because half of them lost it
I genuinely love it but it low key makes me laugh when people say stuff like "wow you make it look so easy." yeah because I lost sleep over it lol
anyone else been social chair or planned big group stuff on campus? what was the most chaotic thing you dealt with?
