Mysterious Infertilty People?
My husband and I are one of the couples who they say have mysterious reasons for infertility. Sperms and egg tests all came back normal so there's no "real reason" for infertility. Our fertility doc also said I likely don't have endo but gave me the MRI and alternative testing just to rule it out along with putting me lupron to suppress any "silent endo." We went through two full rounds of IVF (after 1 failed IUI which our dr did not suggest us doing additional rounds). First round of IVF we yielded only 6 eggs and 3 were mature and only 2 became viable. Both eggs passed genetic screening and were rated very good and defrosted fine for transfer. Both transfer did not stick. Second round of IVF resulted in the exact same # of embryos and then we did the transfers after lupron and none of these have stuck either. Our fertility Dr keeps saying that everything looks great (lining, embryos, etc) and she consulted the other doctors and they suggested a fresh embryo transfer (so starting the full IVF process since I already used all 4 embryos I had) and adding it with "embryo glue" (though she said there's no evidence this actually increases the chance that it sticks). She said this is the "end of the road" in nicer terms as there's really nothing that is supporting why they're not sticking. We are also strongly considering surrogacy too as to not keep wasting my embryos on me... anyone here have done fresh embryo transfer after many frozen ones failed? They suggested the fresh could be beneficial if the embryos are somehow getting "damaged" from the biopsy for the genetic testing ans since 4/4 embryos that we get tested always come back good she said we could bypass that.
