FSD made a hard stop for kids on bicycles that were crossing a busy street. It was not exactly at the crosswalk. As they were in the shade I didn’t notice them until FS: started slowing abruptly.

I almost disengaged to keep going because I have seen too many incidents where one car stops and encourages someone to go through when another car might be coming that won’t stop. Since the empty lane was between me and the kids I figured they would see the other car if there was one (and there was).

Was the right move to stop here or keep going through?

Came across this scene today in Houston. Two cars wrecked. Police on scene had put out a couple of cones. FSD followed the leader to go around the wrecked cars. Given no other direction from the police I think this was reasonable.

Bonus points: can anyone deduce what happened? Seems like a pretty big crash for a 35mph road.

Also, what do you think FSD would have done if there were no cars to follow?

Not sure if it was legal, but it is exactly what I would have done in order to make the left turn.
