[Discussion] requerying agents
I would appreciate thoughts on the subject of requerying the same agent. I have not done this and understand it is generally frowned upon. I am wondering if it would be ever worth it given my situation. I am sad to say I knew nothing about querying when I began and my letter was very bad. After burning through 50 agents I paid for professional feedback and significantly revised my letter and opening pages. I continued querying and still no requests and got more feedback. At this point I have queried over 100 and used up most good fits on my earlier weaker version of my letter. I had beta readers look at my new materials and finally have positive feedback but few agents left I have never queried. It has been over six months since those early good fits saw my weakest letter and sent me quick form rejections. In that type of situation is it ever ok to requery if it was a good fit with a quick form rejection with revised materials? Thank you for your feedback. I appreciate your help.
