I have an A3M2 NATO with a manticore switch back. I had taken it to the range a few times and the bolt locked back fine on empty mags and the charging handle stayed attached to the thrust rod. I got a KNS gas plug and was tuning it and all of a sudden the bolt would lock back on empty mags and the charging handle would separate from the rod. Even after moving the plug back to plenty of gas, it continued to happen. I don’t see damage to the head of the rod and racking reconnects it. I don’t know if the manticore is the problem as it doesn’t actually connect to the rod.

Any help would be appreciated.
