I was on a ride on my 250km ridden ns400z when the instrument cluster suddenly stopped displaying the speed, gear position, rpm etc and the smaller blue display was showing the "clock setting" menu. The only warning lights working were indicators and hazards,the starter was working perfectly fine and the motorcycle was running fine too except that I couldn't tell the speed or which gear I was in.
Another observation is that the blue display wasn't turning off even when the ignition was turned off. When I reached home I removed and replugged all the fuses and the blue display finally turned off when turning the ignition off; yet the other side was still not working. Then I removed the front seat and saw that the battery negative terminal was not tightened AT ALL; so I removed the negative fully and let it sit for a few minutes to do a "reset" and then connected it properly and tightened it. The display is STILL not turning on!!!
What could have happened? I haven't done a pressure wash at all. Please help.
