advice please

Hi lovely people
I normally don’t post anything I just read and move on lol.
So I’m based in Minneapolis. How hard is it to meet women who aren’t in healthcare?
I’m looking for someone in a totally different industry. Almost everyone in my circle is either a nurse
(which I don’t mind) or a female physician, which I’m absolutely not open to dating for personal reasons.
Would love to hear people’s experiences, especially from Minneapolis. I am physician too.

Please rate this offer

PGY-1 IM resident here. Just got a hospitalist offer in the Midwest and wanted to see what people think.
7 on / 7 off.
$340k guaranteed first year, $347k second year.
$50k sign-on (forgiven over 2 years).
RVU bonus starts in year 2.
Expected to see at least 15 patients/day. Community hospital about an hour from a major metro area.
Extra shifts pay $2,000 each and there seems to be plenty available.
One thing I don’t love is that malpractice is claims-made and I’d be responsible for tail if I leave during the initial contract period.
Not really looking for a super rural gig making $450k+. My priorities are being close to family, decent work-life balance, and a place I could realistically stay for a while.
For the hospitalists out there:
How would you rate this offer?
Is $340k considered fair in 2028 starting market?
How big of a deal is the tail coverage issue?
Anything you’d try to negotiate before signing?
Any red flags I should be asking about?
Thanks.

Edit: additional info

I will add few details

Appreciate the detailed feedback.

PTO is 20 days/year.
The service is roughly 65% rounding and 35% admitting.
Admitter shifts are capped around 7–8 admits.
It’s a closed ICU with intensivist coverage.
Day rounding shifts are 9 hours and admitting shifts are 8 hours.
There is mandatory 1 week of nights per year, although I’ve been told people can usually swap if you don’t want to do it.
The location is actually where I want to settle long term, which carries a lot of weight for me.
