Moxie curl cream 2C/3A, low porosity
I’m really struggling with my curls lately, and I could use some advice. It honestly feels like every product I try just ruins my hair.
For context, my current routine is pretty bare-bones:
- I wash every 4 days using a ₹5 Dove shampoo and conditioner sachet.
- I rinse my hair with plain water every single morning because otherwise, I wake up with a frizzy, messy bird's nest.
- I usually avoid scrunching entirely. Scrunching just makes my hair look worse.
AFTER MOXIE CURL CREAM :
I recently ordered the Moxie curl cream and decided to test it out. (In the photos, the first 5 are my hair with zero product, and the last 3 are with only the Moxie curl cream). All of this was taken one day after my wash day. When I applied the cream, I did scrunch it in and let it air dry.
Here is what I noticed over the last couple of days:
- Leave-in conditioner: Yesterday, I tried my friend’s Moxie leave-in. It made my hair super flat and completely killed whatever natural curl definition I had.
- Curl cream: Today, I tried just the curl cream on its own, and honestly, the results still look bad to me.
- Sea salt spray: I’ve tried this in the past, and it was a total bust too.
My Confusion :
I’m just so frustrated! The leave-in I tried was lightweight, and the curl cream is medium-weight, so I really don't understand why everything seems to drag my curls down and reduce my definition instead of enhancing it.
Honestly, my hair looks way better completely bare with zero product than it does when I actually try to style it.
Has anyone else experienced this? Am I applying things wrong, or does my hair just genuinely hate products? Any advice would be so appreciated! (CGM used)
