How to secure curls (not just while sleeping, like everytime when we're not doing any hairstyle)

I have 2C - 3A medium porosity hair.

The definition and volume is good, but idk how to sleep with it and how to put it in a bun

When I just twist it and make a bun, the curls loses its shape

The pineapple method didn't work for me as the hair just kept falling down

I've also tried bonnet, it reduced frizz but the definition is lost

Also sleeping with bonnet is so hard, it is at the other side of the bed when I wake up 😭😭

Help me curlies 🤍

1. How to tie hair for preventing flat roots? 2. How to make the hair look more managed when tied back?

I have 2a/2b curls I think and low to medium porosity hair. Whenever I'm at home, i usually do like a pineapple at the top of my head. But in the gym i tie it up in a pony and it becomes really flat at the roots. Trying to refresh them usually makes it more frizzier for me. Please lemme know what you gurlies are doing to not have flat roots (or is there nothing that can be done and it's my hair type?) I'm attaching my day 3 curls. Plis dont judge but I'm very broke and use ustraas hair cream and set wet gel. I dont think I have the budget to go for expensive products rn. Please give some budget friendly reccos if available. Alsooo, another help I needed was that I'll be starting college soon and we're supposed to keep our hair tied back at all times. Are there any recommendations to make them look less frizzy by curls being more defined (if possible) or should I go for some kind of wax/gel to give it a slick look? (I dont want the smaller hairs sticking out, it makes me look very shabby and unkempt)

Thank you!

PLS HELPP first time curler(2b or 2c idk rlly)

So I recently started embracing my curls after a really long time so I don't really have a routine like regular shampoo maybe a hair mask and usually air dry I think I'm between 2b or 2c so I went to a salon that specialises in curly hair. I asked my stylist how to maintain my hair and she did tell me what to do except SHE WAS MUMBLING EVERYTHING and I didn't have the heart to ask her to speak louder so now I'm stuck on what to do and how to maintain my curls also like how do y'all brush ur hair 😭 I wanna keep it the way it is like in the first picture but I'm so used to brushing my hair so idk what products to use or what to do in general 💔🥀

Hair type 2b-2c wash day results

From what I’ve figured out , most probably I’ve wavy hair type 2b-2c and cannot seem to find any products or method to enhance them. This is after hair wash without any products and no combing ..but it gets frizzy and tangled which I do not like . I don’t know if some of my hair is straight or what 😭 and why do they turn up like this. Could not click a good picture but all my strands are just loose waves and curls . Please help out.

Hair type-2c maintain or fixmycurls?

I have been using fix my curls for the past few months and the results have been quite decent. Although there is some lack of definition sometimes, thats why im thinking whether i should switch to maintain duo(never used it before) or stick to fmc as its giving me decent results. I have thin wavy hair thats why im a bit confused. The above photos are my results with fixmycurls duo. The first photo is my second day hair and the first photo is my wash day hair.

What Shampoo would you guys recommend? (1c-2a/2a-2b with low-medium porosity)

I got 1c-2a/2a-2b hair and its low to medium porosity, looking for something that removes product buildup from my hair. If you guys have any other recommendations then please sure to let me know, thank you!!!

Is it just me, or does curl-up gel weigh curls down? (2C/3A hair, low porosity)

I have 2C/3A hair, and I’ve been using their curl cream for a while now, it’s great and works really well for me. But recently my Dove curl gel ran out, so I thought I’d try their curl-up gel instead.

At first, my curls look fine but after an hour or so they get weighed down and lose volume. It actually ends up making my hair look more wavy than curly, which is kinda frustrating.

I’m not sure if I’m using too much, applying it wrong, or if this gel just isn’t right for my hair type.

Has anyone else with 2C/3A hair experienced this? Any other gel recs?

Hair Type - 2B Low Porosity - Curls at the front look good but back is a mess!!

So my curls at the front look good and shiny but as visible in the 3rd pic the back side is a mess, frizzy, dry and not so defined curls.
Any tips on how to make the back of my head look good too??

My routine -

  1. Shampoo with Scalpe shampoo
  2. Flip hair upside down and apply L’Oréal Paris hyaluron conditioner, de tangle and scrunch and wash off while scrunching.
  3. Out of shower - On dripping wet hair I use FMC curl quenching butter and scrunch
  4. Then I use the FMC flaxseed gelly in praying hands motion
  5. Now I use a microfibre towel to remove any excess water (my hair is still upside down)
  6. Now I finally flip my hair. I noticed while flipping them the back does become a mess and as I try to fix it it gets even worse.
  7. Air dry.

I like the upside down product application method because it gives my curls more volume and the crown also doesn’t look too flat. I have tried styling them normally too but I hate the results that I get from styling the straight way.

2C-3A hair, low porosity. Are naturali shampoos and plum avacado & argon shampoo well suited for curly hair?

I have been using love beauty planet argon oil and lavender shampoo since the beginning of my curly hair journey and it was great overall. But now I want a change of routine and have been eyeing naturali and plum products. Has anyone tried them?

Curly hair cut

Hey folks!

Im new to the curly hair community!

I finally got my hair cut and styled based on my natural style.

My hair type is 2a/2b. I have medium porosity hair.

Since im new to this, the salon used their products in my hair including shampoo, conditioner and leave in cream and used a detangling brush to get it all out and then used a diffuser to set my hair.

The products recommended by my stylist to use from now on are

  1. VniQ Refillable Hair Spray Bottle (Black)

  2. Moxie Beauty Weightless Leave in Conditioner

  3. Moxie Beauty Flexi Styling Hair Serum Gel

  4. GUBB French Hues Vent Oval Hair Brush (Blue)

  5. Cerrito Satin Silk Scrunchie (Black)

  6. KLOY Satin Silk Hair Bonnet with Scrunchie

(Wine) + satin pillow case.

Bare Anatomy Shampoos

Hey everyone,

I need help choosing a Bare Anatomy shampoo variant.

My Hair Type: 2B waves, low porosity, oily scalp.

My Issues: Frizz and mild hairfall.

Because of my low porosity and 2B pattern, my hair gets weighed down and greasy very easily, but my ends stay frizzy.

Which variant is best for this combo?

Anti-Dandruff

Anti-Hair Fall

Hydrating (rosemary and coconut oil)

Hair type 3b-3c really low porosity really high density

Hi, I am not Indian, I am English carribean mixed, so i may receive many downvotes, but I do not receive any help from other subs,I have really low porosity high density hair, the fist photo is my natural hair with no products, the second photo is my hair 6 hours after my routine and the last photo is my hair 1 hour after my routine, I want my hair to be able to hold the definition and length similar to the last photo, as the last photo my hair is fairly dry; it jug feels solid with the gel and curling mouse holding it together , and 12 hours after my routine, my hair goes exactly back to when I wake up

My routine is

Shampoo and conditioner in shower

Section into 6 and Almost instantly apply cantu weightless leave in conditioner to very wet but not dripping hair

Marc Anthony strong hold curling mousse

Aunt Jackie’s never shrink curling gel

Air dry; often touching my hair, no heat, and not using any mask or any heat to stimulate absorption, is this a necessary, or is the level of straightness I want in my hair unacheiveable
