Industrial engineers working in aml?

So I'm an IE student (ISE concentration) and my whole thing is eventually working in financial crime and anti-human trafficking enforcement — think FinCEN, DHS, DOJ type roles. I know it's a niche path for an IE major but the OR, simulation, and data analysis side of it genuinely seems applicable.

Has anyone actually gone this route or know someone who did? Like is there a realistic way to make ISE work for this or am I cooked trying to break into fed financial intelligence without an accounting or criminal justice background?

Any programs, concentrations, or just general advice would be lowkey helpful
