I used my Dexcom as a framework to talk about user experience and wrecked a brand new sensor 😅(No advice needed)
I gave a new talk today about user experience and building empathy for your user at a conference in Sweden. I used Dexcom as a framing for the talk and decided to really drive things home by showing the experience of putting one on because I needed to change it today anyway.
It was wild and very funny to watch a whole room of people visibly recoil when I hit the button because the spring is unexpectedly loud if you’ve never seen it before.
The only problem is my blood sugar spikes hard while on stage because of all the cortisol or adrenaline, then it bottoms out as soon as I’m done. Making it even worse, I ate lunch as soon as I got off stage, then had a “fireside chat” with another speaker immediately after lunch.
This poor sensor is cooked 🤣
I was swinging WAY too much for it to get anywhere close to accurate and calibration isn’t working.
It’s totally fine, this sensor was one of the backups from before I switched to the 15 day. I figured it won’t have a chance under these conditions, but it was worth it for the impact the talk made.
Oh, as an aside, I’m physically incapable of being in a photo while speaking and not looking like a crazy person 🤦🏼♀️
