I've been listening to Dynasty by MIIA, specifically the part where she repeats "it all fell down" and I'm trying to find books that capture that exact feeling. It’s so hauntingly beautiful. I’m not sure how people feel when they hear that part but to me it feels haunting, heartbreaking, powerful, and angry all at once. 😭
I’m trying to capture that in a story and to me I resonate it with a woman that genuinely starts out as a good person (or at least a normal, decent one) and is betrayed, broken, humiliated, abandoned, or has something devastating happen to her.
Instead of healing and moving on, the pain turns into rage.
I want to see her slowly become unhinged, obsessed, morally grey, or even villainous as she pursues revenge.
But I want to see that character change rather than the story starting with her being a villain from the start if that makes sense - I want to be in that emotional rollercoaster with her😭😂
I’d love a fantasy if possible!
