I’m going to be moving to Thailand in a few months but want to retain my UK mobile number for banking/2 factor etc, so essentially just need to be able to receive SMS whilst overseas

A quick google seems to throw up only providers with a monthly charge, so was just wondering if there are any where I can just buy a SIM once to get connectivity and then use that just for receiving texts ?
