Sleeping bag recommendations for absurdly cold sleepers
Hello guys,
I've just spent a miserable first night in my tent and am looking for advice - 1. general tips, and specifically 2. advice from other thin women who tend to freeze absurdly.
I'm new to camping and am planning a hiking trip with expected temperatures around 5-10 C. Therefore I bought a thermarest neo air xlite (R value 4.5) and a Decathlon down sleeping bag with a comfort rating of 0 C, and pitched my tent in the garden. Woke up at 10 C and had to go inside (after trying to endure by upgrading to my warmest alpaca wool sweater and fleece pants) ...well should have guessed that, as I usually sleep indoors at 18 C with a down duvet, another blanket on top, a down sleeping bag as a third layer and thermal underwear. Haha.
When laying down, I can feel my circulation slowing down until I stop generating any body heat and reach a dead-like state. Unfortunate, because I'd ideally like a sleeping bag under 1 kg and 500€.
Does anyone feel the same and can recommend a sleeping bag that actually keeps you warm?
