Staff hospital gym

recently rotated to a hospital that has an onsite gym, and it has been such an improvement in my quality of life and health.

it’s not luxury but has the basics and is open 24/7, at an affordable price

why can’t we have this as a requirement for all hospitals - it would make such a difference to everyone.

so question to you all: does your hospital have a staff gym? is it 24/7? is it free or how much is it? and would you be willing to lobby to make sure all hospitals have access to gym to improve health and working lives of staff?

before anyone says - this is an old hospital, which has limited space. but clearly it has been prioritised as important so I don’t want to hear “we have no space” excuses

and no this is not instead of pay, but with my hours most gyms are closed when I finish whereas this one isn’t. managed to lose 5kg already and feel so much healthier as a result
