39 months Work ex as an Technical Analyst — Is NMIMS Mumbai MBA BA worth it? Placements, Acads & Life After?"

Hey everyone, so this was my second attempt at CAT and honestly I just can't see myself going for a third. I missed SIBM Pune and JBIMS by a pretty small margin which genuinely stings because I felt I was so close, but here I am now with an offer from NMIMS Mumbai for their MBA in Business Analytics and I'm trying to figure out if this is something I should seriously consider or let go.

I have 39 months of work experience as an technical Analyst so I'm not coming in as a fresher and I do wonder if that changes anything, both in terms of what I'd get out of the program and how recruiters would look at me during placements. Would the work experience actually give me an edge on campus or does it not really matter much at NMIMS BA specifically.

What I really want to understand from people who've been through it is how the placements actually look for the BA program, not the brochure numbers but the real picture. What kind of roles come in, which companies visit, and what does an average outcome look like for someone from an analytics background. Also curious about how the academics are structured, whether it's genuinely rigorous or more of a management program with some analytics courses thrown in.

I know NMIMS is a good name overall but I want to make sure I'm not just taking it because I'm tired of the process. Would love honest opinions from current students, alumni or anyone who knows the program well. Is this a decent place to build from or would I be settling? Really appreciate any genuine input, DMs welcome too 🙏

NMIMS Mumbai MBA Business Analytics vs taking a gap for CAT + GMAT (ISB) — 26M with 39 months work ex

Need advice because I’ve been going in circles.

I’m 26, engineer, have 39 months of work ex as SDE, academics 9/7/8. I gave CAT twice already. Both times I got 90+ percentile. Not terrible, but not enough for the colleges I had in mind. Gave snap and mba cet both , missed sibm p and jbims by some small margin. I recently resigned from my job thinking I’d focus and figure things out, but now I’m second guessing everything.

Right now I’m stuck between joining NMIMS Mumbai MBA Business Analytics this year. Taking another shot at CAT + GMAT and trying for ISB / better B-schools.

The thing is, if I prepare again, there’ll be a gap and there’s no guarantee things will work out differently. But if I join now, I’m scared I’ll always wonder whether I gave up too early.

People who’ve taken a drop, repeated CAT, joined NMIMS MBA BA or core , or have opted for ISB, or just been confused at this stage what would you suggest me

Please be realistic. I can take honest advice.
