Parting gift

I left 20 of these hidden through my store as a parting gift. Tomorrow is officially my last day

Im taking the leap into trying to DM, and I want to know: what are some tips for first timers? I've played for almost 10 years, but never ran one. Are there things that are musts in your campaign building?

My SM just got promoted to DM with no plan for his replacement. The current DM wanted me to run the store in the meantime, with no compensation and even going as far as telling me that the only reason Im paid what I am is because of how long I've been with the company (8 years), telling me outright that Im overpaid. So instead, I'm going to act my job and the entire two dollars over minimum wage.

My question is this: what is the official in the book description of a PSM? I've been looking everywhere in the DOC and can't find anything. All I managed to find is the job description on the careers page or indeed. What constitutes the SM job, and what exactly is the PSM job. Where is the line? Matrix? PoGs? Schedule? Bank calls for petty? Weekly paperwork?

The other opener called in, and every DIY employee didnt answer. As a PSM with no current SM, this is fantastic because i can sit here with the door locked and really put the "dont open alone" policy into action. I dont expect to see the next person until 9am, who did answer but was mostly asleep. I did my job, now we wait. 😂

Edit to add: my SM was promoted, so we have no upper management here. Im the most senior, and without a license won't get promoted. They also declined to compensate me for covering the SM stuff while between managers, so im only doing what my job description says. That being said, my old SM was made aware of the situation, and knew I was alone. We're a high risk store location, so its always been 2 staff minimum to open and close the stores.

Edit 2: The store was ready to open. I did all the morning tasks. Just couldn't open alone
