Sku for the little red knife protectors?

We've been having trouble with people stealing our pocket knives lately. I stopped by another AZ today and noticed they had little red blockers on their shelves for their knives, im guessing you have to have management unlock them for you?

Anyone have the sku for those and I'm guessing you order them in replenishment?

upcoming csm..help!!

So im 21f and im about to very quickly jump into the csm position after having horrible csm’s in the past and i decided to take the position myself since the accounts would be happier, we get more money and overall just a happier and faster pace environment for everyone. the thing is i was expecting about 2 weeks to get ready for the panel interview, but now it has changed to this friday i have the panel interview.

so my question is what did y’all do to get ready for it? what should i make sure i mention..etc?

and how do you guys stay organized? i feel like i need 6 binders or something 😭
is there anything that the psm and red shirts always be wanting the csm to do? like for example the guys that were my csms would put batteries and rotors away (til i got there then they stopped doing they’re job for some reason ..

i also am like the star of the store, not to toot my own horn but i’m gonna js give it to you straight, so im already doing everything on the floor, planos, price changes, putting the majority of stock away on truck day and the management part of fixing customer issues and then doing all of commercial alone with one driver. our red shirts barely know how to pull overstock.. so if that tells you anything about the store in general lol

with that mentioned i know most of how to operate commercial but not specifics like the LP dashboard stuff i know i should know numbers and focus 6 .. stuff but yeah

thanks in advance

Is PSM to CS considered a promotion? And does it come with a raise?

Just wondering. My CSM asked me if I wanted to switch to the dark side haha and basically be his #2. I don't care for commercial but I realize it does have its perks. Idk what to do!!!

Please rant, I want to know the good, the bad, the redundant, the nightmare.
Anything related to Znet, commercial, pos, SMS, drivers, WMD, Order fulfillment, Core, Fix finder, anything.
If it relates in the lack of onboarding/training, if there’s no notification of changes, anything.
Help me help you.

New PSM

So I’ve worked for autozone for 2 almost 3 years now. I recently just got moved up to a ft PSM position. I am finding it hard to get my CSR’s to do a single thing. Such as front facing, keeping the floors clean, dealing with paper boxes, etc…

I have tried offering a reward like lunch or a gift card. They still refuse to a single thing, I’m ashamed of how the store looks. Our back room is a mess and it all just not how it should look.
My fellow PSM all are veterans of this company and have given up on how it looks.
Me personally I am not proud of how it looks. I need help or advice on keeping the store clean and making sure CSR are putting truck in the correct slots.
What are things your guys do to ensure the store looks great and CSR’s are working.

Can Non Rehire Status be overturned? I quit AutoZone over 20 years ago. 😅

I was 19 and stupid. I worked for AutoZone for I think 2 years back in 2004ish. I got frustrated one day on shift and just quit right then and there. I have non rehire Status apparently. I applied for my local AutoZone last year and got hired in interview but ran into non rehire Status. Is there anyone in HR I can beg to get reconsidered for rehire? I am currently working at Pizza Hut for the last 5 years and they are getting rid of drivers. They are making me an insider and it's a major cut to my pay.

I have worked at Advance Auto Parts for 9 years straight before. So there's that.

I don't mind working stressful auto parts jobs now. Bonus points if I can be a delivery driver for them!

I live in Hampton Roads, VA. Is there anyone I can write to and grovel to get rehire Status back?

AutoZone messed up my car

I drive a VW Atlas
This morning for some reason the battery went dead and my car would start.
I have a second car and so I jump start the car so I could drive it to get a new battery.

I jumpstart my car, drove it fine to the AutoZone store,
Bought the battery and the clerk says he will install it for free.
Guy has trouble installing the battery and now the car starts but it won’t drive, the steering wheel won’t even steer.

This is quite upsetting. Anyone had anything like this ?

Can I make them pay for it ?

Shrink Busters

Yo mofos be wearing these shrink buster pins so dang gladly. Like I’m an AutoZoner and I’m proud that I snitch lol

Bro I call em the “snitch pins”

I appreciate all the ones who wear em.

It’s like a coworker indicator to be careful what you say and do around this employee lmaoo.

They put in all that work n effort to snitch n report on someone without ever talking to that someone.
They think management will appreciate that gesture tremendously and hand them a big position raise.

Boy that’s why you got 1…2…3… pins and still in the same place lol.

Only thing AutoZone is good at is…. Brainwashing the employees real well especially during the orientation making all us feel like we really got a future here especially if we do this this and that.

Outside buys

Who do you guys prefer for outside buys? Nexpart is cool and all but I’m not a big fan of their interface and trying to look up parts through there.

I sometimes find parts through different dealerships when I google a part number and wonder if I’m allowed to order from them online?

I know there’s some restrictions to where we can order from like Amazon but is rock auto one as well?

TIA for your input

AZ Manager pay

It’s so crazy managers don’t get paid as much as store managers or a decent enough amount, we do just as much aside from a few extra responsibilities. Don’t make sense. And then they ask you to do more but it’s not adding up with the pay.

Started my onboarding, unsure if I'll like the job

So i originally applied months ago for a retail sales position at a store by my house. I'd forgotten all about it until the manager at a different store calls and asks if I'm interested in joining his hub store as a commercial driver and i said yes.

I did my interview and the manager really wants me to join the team, however I just got my ignition id email and now I'm second guessing if I'll enjoy working there.

So im coming here to see what the other hub drivers think of being a commercial driver, tell me the good parts, the bad parts (other than the pay, $14 was my offer) and everything else in-between
