There should NEVER be warlock nuts for suspension parts. These Ram Promaster ball joints are OBNOXIOUS. Spend the extra ten cents and provide nylon locknuts you cheap pieces of shit. This Chinese bullshit is infuriating. Fuck AutoZone.

Car battery terminal crust removal

Last night my car lit up like a Christmas tree so I checked under the hood and I’m 99% sure this (photo) is the issue. I’m being advised to buy battery cleaner, a metal brush to clean inside the terminal and such, and new grease or washers. Usually I’d have someone in my family do it but everyone is out of town now so I have to be an adult. Is there any at home solutions/tips or should I go and buy the materials? Also when cleaning do I have to disconnect the batter or will cleaning the surface of it while connected be fine? I know I have to disconnect to get inside the terminal, but I just want to be as safe as possible. I don’t think this matters but I have a 2019 Honda CRV ex. Thank you 🫶

Edit/update:
I cleaned the terminal as well as I could with what I had on hand (baking soda, water, a wire brush, and a knife to scrape the inside of the terminal) I’m going to get a proper brush to better clean the inside of the terminal but since cleaning, all the dash lights turned off and I don’t see any current issues. Thank you all for the help!

Anyone else getting hosed by Autozone Commercial?

So my buddy started a heavy truck and equipment repair business a couple of years ago. He opened an Autozone Commercial account, and was getting really good rates on parts. Like 25-45% off on just about everything - i.e., similar to RockAuto pricing.

Lately though, his prices have been terrible. He just got a quote on an alternator, and the commercial price was actually about $10 more than the normal retail for the same part.

Is his commercial rep just hosing him? Did he do something to anger them? Does autozone commercial just suck?

2022 Palisades Lemon?

I'm afraid my wife bought a lemon, 2022 Palisades. She got a good deal back in April on a vehicle that had 60k. The dealership had it since October, so they were ready to deal. Since April, the computer has been reprogrammed, the bank 2 timing had to be fixed, and now the cylinder 2 fuel injector is sticking open. Has anybody else had a similar experience?
