I've never had a stranger compliment my car before.

I was sitting in the parking lot at a supermarket in my 01 SC2 when a man came up and said "Nice whip, man!". He talked about the one he used to have and showed me pictures. I told him about how I haven't had it very long and felt like I was very lucky to have found it. Then he got in his Audi Q3 and drove off. It really made my day.

Radiator fan assembly

Hey guys. I have a 2008 Saturn Aura XR 3.6L V6. My low speed radiator fan conked out in the heat. I just opted to replace the entire assembly instead of the motor.

I replaced the radiator a bit back, and I know it's tight there. Has anyone been able to replace the fan assembly without removing the radiator as well? Or is that gonna be the only way to fit it back correctly? Couldn't find anyone with a video that talks about whether it's possible or not.

New SW2 owner

My friend gifted me a 1998 SW2 with 231k miles on her. I named her Stella. Sunburned and with a questionable front bumper, She isn’t the prettiest girl on the block, but she is the cutest.

Any advice on what I need to maintain immediately? What are things I can learn to diy? I was told to top the oil every month. But she gets cool and runs fine and is a great girl

I think we can be together for a while.

Still weird that Saturn ended up selling a Belgian-built Opel hatch

Saturn started out as the weird little GM brand with the polymer panels and its own identity, then near the end they basically dropped a Belgian-built Astra into the lineup.

Same thing with the later Vue having all that Opel Antara connection. It’s funny seeing the Opel/Vauxhall versions in old clips or random car-spotting photos because the badges, trims and long rear plates make the same basic car look completely different.

Do you prefer the late Euro-GM Saturn stuff, or the older plastic-panel Saturn era?

What is the oil pan drain bolt size?

I’ve got an 04 vue with the 3.5 L. I’ve tried literally every socket I own. I’ve read multiple manuals, and I cannot figure out what the size of the bolt is. It’s not seized on there. It’s not rusted. It’s not stripped. It’s not anything it’s perfectly intact bolt I just can’t figure out what the size is so please any help would be appreciated!!!!

EDIT: Thanks for all the helpful comments, I unfortunately couldn’t find a proper fitting socket or wrench, so I just used the one that fit the most snug on the bolt. My Vue lives another day!

Dexron III or alternative transmission fluid in 5speed 2.2 Vue?

Hello all, thank you for your time. I am getting ready to change the fluid in my 04 Saturn Vue. It is a manual 5speed paired to the 2.2 ecotec. It is supposed to take Dexron III, but to my knowledge that is ATF. Should I use Dexron III or replace with mobile one synchromesh or royal purple or something?

Saturn Vue 2.2 liter 2007 trouble

So I just got the front brake pads and rotors replaced along with a caliper on one side but I'm still hearing a crunching sound sometimes when I speed up and slow down. It seems to go away once I stay at a steady speed. Sometimes it seizes up a lot worse than others. I know very little about cars and I was hoping that someone here might be able to at least point me in a direction or tell me what I should look at. Thanks in advance for any help!

2002 Saturn SC2

So I recently bought this Saturn thats needed a little work, mainly the control arms. I finally get all the parts I need, but for some reason the control arms are weird. I think they're too long, even though I ordered them down to the part number. Any help?

01 sc2

What are some upgrades I can do to my sc2? Has 122k miles , manual . Replaced my spark plugs and wires, recharged the ac myself ( using autozone Loner tools , replaced the radiator since it was leaking , and the water pump as well . Longevity is my goal w the car .

Edit : I bought it from the first owner who got it from the dealership, she would get it serviced from the dealership all the time . She gave me a whole stack of documents with all that was done w the car . She cried when I went to bought it … I got it when it had 90k miles , love the car ! Just trying to have it looking/running good till it no longer drives .

This is a weird one, but I'm looking to ride in or drive every gm brand and I'm missing Saturn, I'm autistic and cars are my thing. Is there anyone in eastern Nebraska that would be willing to help me out? Thanks in advance

Saturn Sky 2007 2.4L

My car over the last year or so has had a strange shudder when at idle at a red light. Being in park does not cause issue to occur. As of recently, in the last month or two i’ve started getting a P0420 (Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold) code pretty much as soon as the shudder would begin or get worse than usual. With that I completely replaced the Catalytic converter with an OEM grade CAT. I’ve noticed too that having the AC on & drawing power can easily help the shudder to begin. After the replacement still same code and shudder being thrown.

In the last few weeks now it has started even having weak acceleration as if it’s being starved of fuel and once that happens it stinks. I have taken it to a chevy dealership to have a professional diagnosis. They checked compression, vacuum leaks, oil analysis, MAF, fuel injectors. They were able to replicate the issue but could not find any inconsistencies with the numbers. Everything checked out except the MAF apparently was reading 3.0 grams instead of the usual 2.3 grams. Tech cleaned the MAF and said “it’s more responsive now”. Well even pulling out of the lot it begins having a lack of power and shuddering when idled. I went ahead and replaced the MAF and even the throttle body as well. It seemed like at first it might have helped but just a day after replacing those it has now gotten to it’s worst yet.
Something that did stand out to me is right after I installed those two parts I drove it up the street and got a P0230 code (Fuel Pump Primary Circuit). Haven’t gotten that code since. I swapped the relay for the fuel pump with an exact copy and the problem still persists.

I will tag videos I filmed today with the focus of the noise and the car’s RPM’s to also help. With how bad it has become it even sounds like it’s almost gurgling when trying to get power back or in “limp mode” which the tech at the dealer said the car has not officially thrown a limp mode code.

In total i’ve replaced the
•spark plugs
•ignition coil boots (unplugged each coil to test those as well to see if engine runs rough)
Catalytic Converter
MAF
Throttle body
Both O2 sensors

Weird sounds from my car?

My car is off and it makes this sound from the engine and sometimes I have a weird burning smell or gasoline smell from my car. I just got my valve cover gasket change from an oil leak that broke my alternator. What is this sound?! And how to make it stop. Sometimes when I’m driving I hear it too! I feel like it might be due to over heating? But I’m not sure
