So a thought crossed my mind. Is it possible the ac condenser has a clog or restriction but still showing proper pressures on machines?

So i took my 02 sl1 to the shop to have a coolant hose replaced, short version they did me a favor so i threw an easy repair their way to give them business, but it was a bit worse than expected.
Apparently my coolant resevior has a crack in it. Now the shop could have just swapped the hose like i asked but they pressurized the system, found the crack, and called me then and there. To me, this shows integrity and i like that. This same shop doesnt sweat small stuff and does a little extra for customers.
Im glad i didnt swap the hose myself because i wouldnt have thought about the res. The obvious leak was the hose on the other side of the engine. Its played through my mind what damage could have happened if it wasnt caught and started getting worse. 😱
So this is a general question based on all the vehicles ive been in (riding or driving). Is it common that in older cars you feel the engine vibrations even after swapping mounts?
Ive only ever had older cars myself and it seems that it translates the engine vibrations in to the cabin even after mounts are swapped out. But newer cars, 10 or so years old at most, never have this feeling unless something is wrong.

So with my neighbors borrowed impact and 3 hours of work i got my dogbone mounts swapped. In hindsight i shouldve paid a shop lol. The passanger side on looked like it melted and solidified several times, the rubber was so deteriorated it felt more like steak fat.
Now there are better things. The car doesnt lag when going from a stop. The muffler doesnt shake when starting the car. It starts a tiny bit faster. And i dont get a shuttering when starting from a stop, this one is super tough to explain in text but sometimes when letting out the clutch it would kind of stutter shake.
The main thing im thinking now is it feels different when driving. I dont mean better or worse just different. I havent driven my longer drives i take yet (i go to a neighboring town twice a month) and have just done a short to the local bank trip. Im not sure how to tell if what im feeling is road or problematic part. Once i go on the longer trip i should be able to tell more.
This was my first attempt last year following a youtube tutorial. Its not even close to what she was doing but i know practice will pay off. Once I get a better space to practice i hope to improve.

So TLDR someone elses question on here stuck me with the spur to install dogbones.
For the one on the driver side do i need to support the trans to replace it?
For passanger side do i need to lift the motor a tiny bit if the motor mount itself isnt removed?
So i wanted to ask because i cant find a reference online. What is this thing? It attaches to the underside of the air filter box but from what i can tell it doesnt do anything.
So this is more of a general question than direct help question.
If someone goes from sohc to dohc, 100hp to 124hp, would they be able to feel that difference? Whether swapping cars or swapping engines.
So i wanted to ask this and stick with me please.

Ive gotten quite a bit of advice on reddit between a mechanics forum and this one which all have told me to check the heater core.
Heres the situation. A long time ago i wanted to do a super deep clean i side the car. Meaning take everything, every single thing, out of the interior so i could clean every inch. I had gotten the dash and all out but the big black box inside the dash wasnt accessible due to a big metal bar (basically the support for the dash stuff).
I wasnt able at the time to figure out how to remove it so i did my best to clean around it. Is there a way to remove this bar so i can get to the heater core and such?
Friend of mine asked a question and i had no answer.
His car is a 2000 saturn SL1, mine is an 02, and our cars feel different.
He says in my car he feels bumps and potholes in his butt. But in his he feels them in his feet (floorboard).
Is this a control arm bushing issue or something else?

On my car theres a small overflow tube where the coolant comes out of the engine in to a hose leading back to the radiator. This specific hose/engine connection is (for want of better words) rotted. It is where i have a coolant leak, theres a small squate dibbit where the coolant pools, and i know i need to replace the hose.
My questions are as follows: how make sure theres no air in the system when refilling the coolant? Is it automatically taken out of the system by that tube? Are there special steps i need to take?

So i notice the mileage seems better in the upper end of the tank than the lower end (half to full vs empty to half). Is this normal or does it mean something is on its last leg?

I watch a lot of mechanic channels on youtube, probably one of few people thats subs are 99% informative, and one channel a guy has a fumoto drain plug for his oil. With the difficulty of gaskets and tightening properly (and space for a rachet or wrench) i want to put one on.
Its a side spitting plug but is the car too short to put this kind of drain plug on? Mostly worried about speed bumps and dips in my city. And yes probably a stupid question but an even stupider question is one not asked.

Is there a way to test a cabin blower motor? Trying to diagnose my ac, not cooling as much as it did with oem compressor, and after looking up stuff i found quite a few saying the blower motor.
Honestly i have no idea whats wrong. Some say to get a complete system flush for clogs, others say the coils, and more. The first 'free' thing on that list is to make sure the blower motor and resistor are good.
Is it possible to test them or do i just need to buy new ones to see if that fixes it?

Kind of a straight forward question here. I know i have an old car lets get that out of the way. I got under the car to check the ac condensate drain for a clog and noticed a lot of crud and some wet oil spots.
I did post here before about the car not going through oil on a long trip like it does at home. From what i saw i think i have a tiny leak somewhere but theres a ton of crud in the engine bay so its hard to see anything. A friends dad who works on cars said if i wanted to swap out oil pan gaskets id also need another one amd its not as easy as dropping the pan off the bottom.
So now the question, because i know just enough to break things, is there anything to avoid doing? Can i use a cleaner (like brake clean) or a jet nozzle garden hose to clean down there safely if i have a tiny oil leak? If not what can i do to clean down there (aside from shop towles amd elbow grease)?

The ac isnt as cold as it was. So to start the car was ice cold before the compressor was replaced. Now not nearly as much.
So a few years ago the OEM compressor gave out. According to the shop the rod in the middle twisted like a twizzler, best analogy he could give me, so it needed replaced. Only option was rebuilds, to which they tried 3 before one worked.
Now it isnt as cold, had the system checked, pressures were good, refridgerant was replaced with fresh, even a gentle scrub of the condensor, but nothing helped.
I also noticed an issue while on a long trip (6+ hour drive). Id get AC for about an hour then the fan speed would slow to nearly stopping. If i turned off the ac and just did fan it would instantly speed up and after about 20 minutes i click ac and itd be normal ac (keeps fan speed) again. It aslo returned to normal ac after stops at gas stations.
Lets say the poorer ac performance is issue A and the car trip thing is issue B. Please note which thing you are commeting on please.
Hi all, thankfully someone posted a link to this subredit in another, stagnated, saturn one. I been waiting for over a year to get approved to post there lol
Ok so my first question to the group:
I have an 02 SL1 SOHC which has a water issue. Ive noticed the steering wheel and shifter (manual) was tacky/sticky. I always thought it was humidity after rains until the other week. I was able to get in the car directly after a really heavy rain and it was sopping wet in 2 spots on the floor board. The first was the carpet up behind the pedals and the second was in front of the gas pedal (where my right foot would be planted if i was sitting in a chair or had the cruise set). The odd part is it was isolated to just those spots.
-No sign it travelled, wet streaks, from elsewhere.
-Feeling up behind/under the cluster panels (ie if i reached up past the OBDII to grab the back of the steering wheel shaft) there was no moisture
-i had a glass shop take a look but the seals on the windshield are good and the cowl was checked too but no problems there either
-door seals have a clean line dry/wet with no blotchy areas to show weak door seals
-googled and checked the ac drain but after shoving a screwdriver in to maybe break up a clog it cam out clean amd the ac condensate is properly draining
-no sunroof
Im at a loss, though the car is old and showing its age it has no codes. Runs great and gets great mileage. My last idea is to pull the seats and carpet to look for the metaphorical needle. Anyone have ideas to why i have these water spots?
So im looking to make a race for dnd based on a race I have in a novel Im writing designed for a high power campaign or specific setting. Note this is the playable version not NPC.
I may have missed sources (either dont have the physical book or not looking in the right place). Is there a specific template in 5e to follow like existed in 3.5 so i have a reference?
I DM'd 3.5 for so long it was second nature to balance stuff but when I try to in 5e it feels awkward.

So i posted in tjis subreddit about the driver floorboard being super wet but nothing else. I took the car to the shop that replaced the windshield years ago, they checked the windshield seal and cowl for free which is awesome, but the seal and cowl drain are fine.
Anything else to look at before i take the car to a shop? Id rather not have a 200+ bills i cant afford right now lol
