I was scrolling through the XBOX shooter page and I had to go down 50 games just to find one far cry title, thank God it was blood dragon blood dragon was the first one I saw next to all the other far cry games. I genuinely think we’ve fallen off.
Hot take but I think new dawn might be one of the best games in the series mostly because of how many new features it added I’ve played every single game in the series and I personally enjoyed New Dawn the most I’ve played for play through of it and the sound of line is just absolutely perfect. I liked far cry three, but it wasn’t the best. It felt really forced at parts. The villain was great. I didn’t actually do the second part of the game because from what I’ve heard on the subreddit it’s that the second part of the game isn’t that good but the first part was great. I love the characters. It was just really forced at times also. Hurk I think for me far cry five comes in at second coming close to first because of the great sound design the amazing map the insane amount of side missions that you can do the great villain the pretty good graphics for the time the fun and engaging combat and some of the best screenshots that I’ve ever taken. I think four was good, but it came with the same problem as three where the animals were really hyper aggressive, not in a bad way, but like in a really difficult way I think I died more to the animals then to the actual enemies overall I would rate the entire franchise a eight out of 10 I love this series and I’m waiting for the seventh game to come out. I know New Don gets a lot of hate but I just think it’s great because I added so many new mechanics and the story was OK. It was a bit short, but if you actually take your time to do absurd stuff like making your punches do 3000 base damage which is hilarious. You should try it. I did it.
