Supposed to graduate next month, just got told my degree is incomplete. what should I do?
I'm a ChemE student supposed to graduate next month, but I just got an email saying my graduation is incomplete over a missing elective.
Here's the situation: I took a gap year for an internship and had to reapply. There was a curriculum change and that elective was removed for newer students. I read when you reapply, you follow the updated curriculum so I never took it.
What makes this worse is I already attended my Iron Ring ceremony and applied to graduate. Why is this only coming up NOW?
Has anyone dealt with a gap year + curriculum change situation like this? Should I go to the ChemE advisor, registrar, or Dean's office? Any advice is appreciated.
