So basically, I’ve just broken up with my boyfriend of 3 years.

I’m currently living in Ireland, and we had been doing long distance for the past 2 months. He came to visit me this week, and honestly everything was going amazing — better than ever. We were super close, affectionate, and he was telling me he loved me.

Then out of nowhere, he got upset over a mobile game (literally Brawl Stars). He started speaking to me badly, I ended up crying because I felt awful, and instead of fixing things, he completely shut down.

He gave me the silent treatment for the rest of the day and night. I tried to talk things through the next day, but he still wouldn’t speak to me. It turned into me basically having a one-sided conversation while he ignored me. At one point he even said that everything is always my fault.

After hours of trying, I told him we either talk and fix things or he should leave my house. And he actually chose to leave — he packed his suitcase and walked out without saying a single word.

He disappeared for about 24 hours, and I had no idea where he was. I even had to contact his brother just to make sure he was okay. Then, without telling me anything, he just went back to Spain.

So yeah… after all of that, I decided to end it. I’ve deleted him from everything because the way he handled it was honestly so hurtful and immature. I still can’t really process how someone who supposedly loves you can treat you like that.

And now, the only reason he’s messaged me is because he left his AirPods at my place.

He said:
“I’m already in Spain, thanks for everything xd 👍
I just want my headphones — if you ever feel like it, you can send them to me, I’ll pay for shipping, or if you come, you can give them to me and I’ll give you your parents’ backpack.”

So yeah… after everything, that’s the message I get.

Part of me thinks it doesn’t even deserve a reply, but at the same time it feels weird not to say anything.

What would you do? Would you reply or just ignore it?

And he just left without saying anything. I don’t know where he is and he’s not answering my calls. I even contacted his brother and he told me he’s fine.

At this point, I’ve deleted him from all social media. I don’t want to see or deal with someone who has zero emotional intelligence anymore.

My boyfriend is giving me the silent treatment

Today I had an argument with my boyfriend over Brawl Stars because I’m really bad at the game. He (25M) got frustrated and spoke to me in a harsh way, which made me feel awful to the point that I started crying. Because of that, he also got upset.

I tried to talk to him to fix things, but he responded badly and told me to leave him alone. Now we’re lying in bed without talking, and what hurts me the most is that we only have one day left together and we’re spending it like this.

Also, he went to sleep without saying anything to me, like nothing happened, while I’m here unable to sleep, overthinking everything. I don’t know how he’s going to act tomorrow or what I should do, because I don’t want this to be our last day together like this, but I also don’t feel like it’s fair that I have to chase after him after the way he treated me.

TL;DR: My boyfriend got mad at me over Brawl Stars, spoke to me badly until I cried, and is now giving me the silent treatment even though we only have one day left together.
