I’m honestly pretty frustrated right now and could really use some advice.
I just bought a physical copy of Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree Edition for PS5. It wasn’t cheap, and I specifically went for this version because I wanted both the base game and the DLC together in a “complete” package.
Everything arrived perfectly — sealed, legit, no issues at all. But when I opened it and tried to redeem the DLC code, it just wouldn’t work.
After digging a bit, I realized the code is from a European region (PEGI), while my main PlayStation account is Brazilian. So basically… I have the game, I have the DLC code, but I can’t actually use it on my own account.
The store told me to just create a European account, redeem the code there, and then play on my main account. I get that it’s a workaround, but honestly it feels really bad knowing that the DLC wouldn’t actually be tied to my main account.
I paid for this to have everything properly on my account, you know?
So I guess what I’m asking is:
Has anyone here been in this exact situation?
Is there ANY way at all to redeem or convert a EU code to another region?
Has PlayStation support ever helped someone with something like this?
If I go with the EU account workaround, am I giving up anything long-term?
I’m just trying to figure out if I should accept this or try to fix it somehow.
