Hey Guys, i may be about to buy a used PS5 (270€) on ebay.
I will only consider buying it if i can test it before, what should i check before buying it?
Are there any important things i should test so i can be sure that everything is fine?
Hello, my PS5 randomly turns off in the middle of a game, it may turn off after 10 minutes or it may turn off after 8 hours. And to turn it on, I have to unplug the device and then plug it back in. The power supply broke once before and I replaced it. It didn't work for a while, but then I encountered this problem. Even the USB port on the front of the device stopped working, which the repairman said was okay, but in short, it turns off in the middle of a game. I did everything you can think of, I cleaned the device board and the device fan as well, I bought a separate cooling fan for it, but it didn't work. Please help me and tell me where the problem is.
Hello, this is my first time posting in this sub, and I'm hoping someone here can help me.
This morning I ran into an issue with my PlayStation. When I turn it on, it was working normally, but when i turned it off and on 10 minutes later it got stuck on "Please Wait" right after the profile selection screen.
After reading some posts here, I found that the issue might be related to the internet connection, so I disconnect the internet and the ps starts normally and lets me log into my profile. However, as soon as I reconnect to the internet, I get a network status screen showing that everything is connected except PlayStation.
I've tried connecting both through Wi-Fi and with an Ethernet cable, but neither worked.
So far I've tried:
- Clearing the cache through Safe Mode
- Rebuilding the database/data through Safe Mode
- Restarting the console and router
The problem still exists. If the PlayStation is connected to my Wi-Fi when it starts up, it gets stuck and won't let me log in. If I start it without an internet connection, it works normally.
Has anyone had this problem before or knows how to fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi. My pS5 pro randomly shuts off into rest mode during game play. At first I thought it was during the heat wave and it was too hot but that doesn’t seem to be it and it never gave a heat warning. Anyone experience this? It just started in the last few days and happens after at least a half hour but I can’t pinpoint any pattern and there’s no code stored in error history. Any ideas? CEC is totally off and it’s on “don’t put into rest mode” for any set amount of time. Thank you in advance!!!!!
My ps5 was lagging i ask google and it told my i should enter the safe mode and do “clear gacha and rebuild database” i did it and my games are gone i used to have 90 game now only 25 left i can play all the games its just that they disappeared from my profile Only free and online games are showing, this is not my biggest problem here my ps5 isn’t counting the time anymore for example today i played re4 for 2 hours and it write i play 2 hours when i close the game the 2 hours are gone and it’s show 0 min. Its so annoying i love to look at the time i play and see my games in my profile. Is there anything to fix it?
So everyone knows playstation is going digital in 2028 apparently even in there policy’s if you have not been on yours psn account with in 3 years they can terminate it which means you lose games also the thing with account protection i heard sony support is terrible btw also people don’t realize they’re have been multiple people who have. Been hacked even with 2fa on and a passkey also people gotta realize it’s 2026 there too many ways get around stuff these days especially with AI operating i hope discs stay and the people that are voting to keep physical media/games win and also think about this Sony switches to digital fully say it’s 2028 you lose/or get hacked number. 1 support can help but it’s a struggle so it’s ass you lose all your games basically have to create or use a.Back up account then buy those games again cause remember physical games don’t exist and you can’t just say screw online gaming and go to walmart or gamestop nope you have to make a account and do that all over again. [Vent] I made an earlier post about how my physical copy of Dead Rising 2 wasn't showing in my play history and did not show my hours but still had the trophies, just found out today that my physical ps5 version of Minecraft is now not showing in my play history nor it's hours, gotta love it..

It said my ps5 had to update so I did, and when I came back the picture wasn’t showing up at all. It was a black screen but it was registered that it was connected to the tv (there was no “no signal” icon). Then I got some picture but the image looked glitched out and green. Finally got it to a more normal looking picture but now it’s super zoomed in. How can I fix this. I’ve tried unplugging everything for minutes and also a new hdmi cord and hdmi port on the tv.
I cant sign in to my playstation account because its locked i don't have access to my email address because yahoo can't find it or something like it doesn't exist anymore and if you go to the 3rd picture then this is what playstation support told me. PS. Should I just call them???

Seen a few posts about this happening but wanting more clarity if this is just a bug and what’s going on.
Today was the first day I’ve went to play my PS5 all week, and I’ve noticed games have miraculously disappeared from my library.
I like to organise things into game lists, and I have one for my disc games and one for digital games. All my digital games seem to be there but more than half my disc based games have just vanished from my library. Obviously I can still just insert the disc and play them but it’s weird that they’ve gone missing in my actually PlayStation library.
Is this just an issue or are our disc games being deliberately removed from the library? Wtf is going on?
Or are they ignoring it, because they have no clue how to fix it?
I while ago I was swapping my keyboard between my pc and ps5 everything was going smooth then one day it just started glitching now I can’t use it and only a couple keys work I’ve fried the FN+ thing and nothing seems to work I even got a new keyboard and it still does the same thing I need a fix please someone help

I posted here a while ago about my PS5 Slim being insanely loud, sounding almost like a vacuum cleaner. Back then I only had a decibel meter report, but now I’ve finally managed to catch it on video with clear audio so you can hear exactly what I’m dealing with.
The Game: This happens mostly in FIFA / FC 26 (especially in the main menu, Ultimate Team, and the Rush mode).
The Noise: It hits around 44 dBA and jumps up to 52 dBA if you measure it right next to the front intake vents. It's loud enough to easily pierce through my headphones.
The Weird Part: I tested Astro's Playroom right after for about 20 minutes, and the console was completely fine — mostly quiet, occasionally bumping to 43-44 dBA right next to the case but dropping down almost instantly.
The Exhaust: The air blowing out the back near the HDMI port is definitely hot, so the heatsink seems to be doing its job transferring heat (ruling out a dry spot on the liquid metal????).

Now what the hell is happening at sony, all these latest updates ruining ppl's console by resetting gameplay hours and games being removed from their library, now they lost their deal with rockstar? Rockstar told sony to remove gta 6's branding from the PS app after the disc controversy. And another thing, what's with these rumors i heard about them wanting to remove game share? Are they out of their mind lately?? SOMEONE CHECK ON THEM‼️
