Can stress alter your appearence?
I noticed this become a reoccuring issue within the past 7 months, but essentially anywhere i go, 95 percent of people who look at me, immediately look away the moment i make eye contact with them. And no its not one of those “i looked away out of respect and avoiding being akward or weird” type of sways. Its more of like they just seen an undomesticated animal in front of them, and out of visible fear, they choose look away. Some even go as far as to avoid eye contact alltogether while im trying to hold a conversation with them, whether it be at work or just in general.
So my question for anyone out there who can help or give advice is, is it really a possible phenomenon for stress to alter the way i look to the point where people seem frightened of my appearance? I know google is free and sure enough it’ll basically tell me that this is infact a strong possibility, but Id rather ask strangers on the internet than an Ai. Idk just feel like l need authentic responses that way, even if some are obvious and self-explanatory.
Again its only been significant within the past 7 months, l anytime before that I never really had this issue, or at least not to this extreme. Idk maybe having a RBF doesnt help, but it sucks, I want to talk to people the way I use to, but I keep to myself for now to avoid making people think i dislike them, or hate them, and to just avoid making them uncomfortable alltogether.
