Am I immature for not watching the news?

I was in a sub asking about a car wreck that happened on the interstate and only like 1 person actually gave info on it, and even they were rude saying i sounded very immature for being “misinformed on purpose.”

Everyone else was just saying how I was immature and how “this isn’t a good look.”

Maybe I am immature because I really don’t understand why that’s the case. I hate watching the news. All it does is make me anxious about the state of the world in both politics and everything else. I just hate it. So I learn from outside sources like family or friends what they say.

It’s not like I don’t learn anything about the world, the news itself just gives me a sense of doom and gloom.

Idk man. The sub is kinda toxic anyway, and I’ve never had a good experience in it. Everyone just seems miserable and that in and of itself gives me a sense of doom and gloom about the place I live.

How annoying is it to change your phone number?

Besides all of the two factor authentication stuff and like changing with your bank and credit cards, is there anything really really annoying about changing your phone number as an adult that I’m not thinking of? I’ve had my number for 15+ years, but in the past 6/7 years, it’s become almost unusable because of all the political spam. (I’ve tried every possible way to stop the political spam, nothing works, and I kind of want a new number anyway)

Why does it take so long to produce shows now, and why are there so few episodes?

Look I've been bitching about this to my friends for a while now, and I just want to know if there is any real good reason behind it. Shows used to have 20+ episodes every year/season. Now, we are lucky to get 10 for most shows. Seasons would come out every year, sometimes twice a year, and a now a lot of shows aren't even coming out with a season every year but more like every 2 (if we are lucky). I mean technologically speaking we are more advanced, so theoretically it seems that it shouldn't take longer than it did previously, in fact you would think it would help produce quicker since things are more advanced.

Is it possible for a man with avoidant attachment and mental health problems (depression) to commit to a woman?

He says he needs to fix himself first, when he goes silent he says he wasn't talking even to his mom or family, doesnt want to commit and says he'd rather distance himself -that it feels safer to him. He knows he is not treating me well and when I pointed it out, he understood how bad it looks. I suggested he looks up avoidant attachment or go to therapy to fix whatever trauma he has. I also have been understanding. He told me he doesnt want any relationship with anyone months ago because he knows he is acting mean with me and needs to fix himself. Says I won't understand him because he doesn't even understands himself. Also says every little daily thing he Has to do, he is having issue doing. He told me I'm too valuable for him. Is it possible he thinks he is just not good enough for me?

I told him how I feel when he treats me like this and he said now that I told him, he sees it and feels bad about it.

And says he has personal problems.

Also says I'm important to him.

We are LDR. Met once. Everytime when I want to meet, he says next time, not right now, we will see. Later he says he was embarassed of himself and that's why he doesnt want to meet. (He does drugs every weekend)

Is it possible he will overcome his demons and commit to me?

Also I'm a believer of theory that whether you have problems or not, if you want someone, there is nothing stopping you.

Was this a Fed coming into my work to set me up?

Little backstory:

I would go visit a guy in prison regularly for 4 years that got arrested for drugs and selling his gun to an undercover. We were friends before he got sentenced and I didn’t want him to be alone and I really care about him he’s a good person but that’s besides the point.

A couple months ago (I’m a server at a restaurant) this guy came in 4 days in a row specifically to ask me if I would get him medical weed in exchange for a gun (I have my medical marijuana card and live in a medical state). It felt strange and obviously I’m not stupid and declined again and again but he came four days in a row and sat at the bar and would go back and forth w me about this basically trying to convince me to say yes to this “exchange” obviously I kept saying no and he never came in again.

When I told my friend in prison he immediately assumed it was a fed and like it’s never left my mind since, at first I just thought it was weird but after he said that it made me think. Maybe I’m a conspiracy theorist but I feel like they’re always listening through our phones and idk I just feel like they sent someone to try to set me up because of my relationship to my friend in prison and what he was arrested for.

Cause when I think about it why would anyone offer that to a random person. You don’t know me, I could commit a crime with said gun (would never but you get my point) and it would trace back to you it just all sounds and felt super super fishy. Also weird because you can still buy THCA legally without a medical card at vape shops so why would he need me?

I never got the dudes name but he told the bartender he was medically discharged from the army and doesn’t work anymore just gets disability checks. Is he not able to get a medical card because of his past in the army? What are y’all’s opinions? Am I tweaking?

How long do you guys stay at the beach when you go?

Alright, don’t get me wrong, going to the beach is relaxing, it’s a nice time to tan, and get in the water if you like doing that, but what do you do there for like more than 2 hours?? (Just trying to get and understanding) Because I’ll go to the beach and like the first hour and a half is pretty chill and somewhat enjoyable for me, and idk if it’s bc I don’t really like getting in the water, and that’s the bulk of the fun and why people stay there super long, but like I just get super bored hot and uncomfortable. I just feel like the beach is overhyped idk😭

Asking this out of curiosity and a little bit to make myself feel better. I’m 22F and $3500 in CC debt which has been slowly hurting my score 💔 then on top of that I have $5000 in student loans and probably still counting after this year

Does anyone know how to change your location on your phone?

For context I’m visiting my mom and siblings in a couple weekends to celebrate my siblings birthday. My mom has my findmy and my Life360 and I would like to try finding a way to lock my location in place where I live so that I can surprise her because she’s nosy lmao. I would just take her ability to see my location away but that would be an immediate tip off to her.

Why is that a group of Crows is called a Murder?

I mean, literally why? They can be aggressive but I don't think they can exactly cause death. Why do they call them so then?
