I’ve done it…ish
Helloooo so I’ve finally told my parents I’m moving out :) This is 7 days before my move in date. I know a lot of people told their parents last minute on purpose but I didn’t plan that. The place I wanted just wanted an earlier date or they would go with someone’s else. Anyways I was smiling all day until I had to tell them. It took me 30 mins of walking around the house rehearsing in my head lol. It went about as well as you’d expect. Disappointing. The thing is you guys prepared me for this too (thanks for that lol) but still, so disappointing. “Why are you moving out?” “So this is how you want to live your life?” “Space. What do you need space for?” “I feel sorry for you” *african scowl*
Funny thing is I even wanted to thank them for everything they’d done for me until now. It’s not easy to move to a new country with children. I wanted to make it as NOT bad as possible. But I was so overwhelmed with disappointment by their reactions that I didn’t say anything after that, just finished my spiel and left the room after they went back to watching tv. I’m more disappointed in my dad because he’s the more logical one. I had some hope for him but nope.
Anyways I got through that, now I’m going to continue smiling from ear to ear. Can’t wait to hear more shit talking than normal. I’m so excited :)))))) Let’s hope I don’t die before I make it out loll
