On Refunds: TOS are void if service reduced in Europe, remember that

Got a few posts here that complain; remember if you are in Europe, the TOS are void if they reduce the service or alter it.

Doesn't matter what is written in their TOS, it's unenforceable in Europe if they alter or reduce the service agreed upon in a 12 month contract.

They will refund if you push back in a polite and respectful manner.

Just to have something here:

>"Under EU Directive 93/13/EEC and Norwegian consumer protection law, unilateral mid-term reduction of plan limits on a fixed 12-month contract is often an unfair term and unenforceable. We are requesting $XXX for the YY unused months of our 12-month plan. Please confirm by [48 hours from now as date]. If not, we will proceed with a bank dispute, consumer complaint, and public reviews."

Do not write that literally, the company fully knows that they can't enforce the TOS in Europe, if they reduce what they offer. But don't budge either, just gently remind them of what they can and can't do.

And you will get a pro-rated refund. (If they do this too often, they will be in trouble in Europe.)

MiniMax-M3 sucks ass for coding?

Been using it since January in general, first on the $10 plan.. now this last month on the $50 plan, was on others in between won't mention.

But oh man this model is useless, and it's not cheap enough to justify. E.g cheaper models.. are better more expennive models are better too. I am so stunned Is it me? Does it work for you, for coding

I blamed the MK4S for weeks and then found two tired bearings on the spool side

I spent the better part of a month treating my MK4S like a haunted machine. First layer looked fine until it did not. Extrusion wandered. I rewrote profiles in PrusaSlicer, swapped nozzles, chased belt tension, and wrote a very confident rant about support while the spool roller sat there grinding like a bad shopping trolley.

Support did not close the ticket with a generic FAQ. We walked the path again. Load cell checks. Temperature trim. Then the boring bit I had skipped: the spool holder. Two bearings on one side were worn enough to add drag every half turn. Fresh bearings, clean path, same filament. The firmware mystery became a friction mystery with a receipt.

So this is the apology tour. The machine was not gaslighting me. I was skipping the mechanical boring work and publishing the drama first. Next time the print looks possessed I will spin the spool by hand before I write a novel about the hotend.

If your MK4S has intermittent under extrusion and the profile has already been beaten half to death, feel the roller. The gremlin is sometimes not in the toolpath.

Landlord wants rent and I asked which printer leaves the house first

The household budget meeting began with spreadsheets and ended with a tour of the spare room. Twelve kilos of PETG looked back at us with the calm of livestock that know they outrank the mortgage.

I offered sensible solutions. Sell the guest bed. Host a filament subscription as a lifestyle brand. Explain to the bank that gyroid infill is a long term asset class. My partner suggested selling a printer. I asked which child she meant.

We compromised. I may keep the farm if I stop buying just one more multicolour test that becomes a shrine to purge blocks. I also agreed to finish one useful household object per week that is not another gridfinity plate for gridfinity plates. Morale is high. The AMS still hums at 2am like a tiny factory that never unionised.

If you came here for calibration advice, measure your doorways before your nozzles.
