I have a Ps5 slim digital for 2 years or somewhere around there. While I was cleaning it today I was scrolling through some videos to make sure I was doing everything right but then when I was scrolling through some repairman’s page there was a video talking about how you should have your ps5 lying on its side because the liquid metal can move and mess with the cooling.
I currently have mine standing vertically, with the bottom air vents against the surface, but while researching I also saw that the ps5 slim had some thing in it that helped to keep the liquid metal in place. The fans in it are loud during certain times in some games, and I do notice it‘s warm when i put my hand close to it, but I just wanted to know if I can keep it vertical or if I should add to the stand to support it on it’s side. BTW I helped my brother build a stand for both my tv and ps since I got both around the same time, so right now I don’t have enough room to put it on it’s side, but I can totally fix it up. So is it okay to keep it like this?
