Vendor payment issue
Hi everyone,
I recently joined a large semiconductor MNC as a fresher through a vendor hiring arrangement. After joining, I discovered that there are two vendors between the company and me, and my salary appears to be significantly lower because of this structure.
The payment chain looks like this:
Working Company
↓
Vendor 1 (₹8 LPA)
↓
Vendor 2 (₹6 LPA)
↓
Me (₹3 LPA)
After joining, I realized that most freshers in similar roles at the same company are earning around ₹6 LPA, while I am receiving only ₹3 LPA. I was not aware of the complete vendor structure or the pay differences before accepting the offer.
I would like to understand:
- Is this a common practice in the industry?
- Is it legal for multiple vendors to take such a large portion of the budget allocated for a candidate?
- Has anyone faced a similar situation while working through staffing vendors?
- What options do I have to improve my compensation.
I would appreciate any advice or insights from people who have worked in semiconductor companies, staffing firms, or vendor-based hiring models.
Thank you.
