engineering into law

there’s been a lot of these questions and i’ve been looking through them as well (super helpful), but i want to put my background out there to see if this is something plausible i guess. my goal is to go to ip law! or anything tech law related?

i have a BS in Mechanical Engineering and went straight into pursuing a MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering (expected dec 26) at another school. my undergrad gpa was a 3.31 which i understand is not competitive at all, and my grad school gpa is currently 3.56 with one more semester left. i think my grad school gpa is not a 4.0 like others bc i wanted to expand and learn more about engineering in general! and there was a lot of catch up on in that aspect, but with one last semester left, i’m sure i can aim for 3.7.

i’m mainly worried about my stats and not knowing any lawyers for rec letters. i’ve done mainly summer research projects and campus job for mechanical undergrad, and now i have a corporate internship involving computer engineering. i also plan to study for lsat right after graduation and hopefully apply next year to be in the fall 2028 class.

any any advice would help and would love to connect if we’re on the same boat :)
