Hey everyone,

I just got the Xtreme 5 today and I’m honestly blown away — the bass for this size is insane.

But I ran into something confusing and wanted to check if I’m missing something or if this is just how it is:

I was trying to pair my Xtreme 5 with my Charge 5, like it was possible with the Xtreme 4 + Charge 5. Back then it worked fine, even though the Xtreme 4 already supported Auracast.

Now with the Xtreme 5, I can’t find any way to pair them:

Nothing shows up in the JBL Portable app
No pairing option between the speakers
Tried the usual button combos, no luck

From what I understand:

Charge 5 uses PartyBoost
Xtreme 5 uses Auracast

So… does that mean they’re just not compatible at all?

Kind of weird since the Xtreme 4 seemed to handle both. Did JBL remove backward compatibility with the Xtreme 5?

Would appreciate if someone can confirm or if there’s a workaround I’m missing 🙏
