trains bunching up at terminus/not using both sides of platform

I am seeing backups of trains at terminus and i'm not sure why. I though with the new feature where both sides of the platform are useable, that the trains would use both sides. I've seen it use both sides every now and then but i'm seeing more and more that they are backing up when they have an available platform to use. And i'm seeing it on a track that has only one service and the number of trains is less than 20 with a very long commuter line, so i don't think it's bunching.

Is this a bug or am i misunderstanding that new feature.

fare feature

So i knew the fare feature was added but i had not yet played around with it--and i'm impressed at the level of personalization there so if you have not gone and checked it out it's like more than i could have asked for. You can not only create fare groups but even set flat fares or distance based or set price per line and there are options regarding how transfers are handled, whether free or paid.

I can't wait to do more testing with it.

Paris map not loading completely

my paris map is loading as a blank map -- i can see only roads but nothing else; no buildings, water, parks etc. is anybody else having this issue? I deleted the city information in settings and tried reloading several times and no help.

i don't like this new thing where terminus trains use all of the platforms available

this new feature where pathfinding is using all tracks of that it believes is a terminus is messy and i'm having the hardest time trying to clean it up in my maps. i feel like we are in for another 1.4.0 firestorm

now i think they have made this game unplayable.

1 Tran Removed Warning/Need help

We all get this warning i'm sure--the red box in the lower right hand corner telling you that a train has been removed due to signal blockage. I am working on a huge map right now and i get them alot bc I have a huge network with a lot of junctions but I can never tell where they are coming from without looking at each major junction and follow the context clues of what service is having the issues.

Is there any suggestions on how I can find out where the problem lies bc giving a warning is helpful only to the degree that i know there's a problem. I looked through mods on railyard and i don't know if any of them will help with this. I've even zoomed out to see if there are any pops queuing on a line. Any suggestions or tips?

tip: another use for wide island platforms

Last weekend someone was asking about the use of wide platforms vs default or narrow and i'd shown that i use them for creating room for a flying ramp up or down for express service to leave quad rails; today i thought of another use--pocket track; its not necessarily pretty and i've not tested to see if it causes more traffic jams, but I was able to assign services through the station to terminate a train

what is this pop details screen for and map graphic telling me?

I accidentally clicked on a population bubble and normally i don't really read into the stats much but i happened to notice there was a transit line and it appeared to be a driver's path. What is this supposed to be telling me bc the transit bubble is for 200 people--are all of the people in the transit bubble going from the same home to the same workplace?

I understand the split for transit and driving and then the income brackets--I just want to know how this is supposed to help me.

adding a toggle for the listing of servcies

I know in one of the newer releases the developers made it so that you could manually order your services--but could there be a toggle to choose to utilize this? I am working in a New York map where i'm using the numbers and letters for services and every time i work on a service it's reshuffling the services and so when i see the station services they are are out of order , and sometimes not even grouped together. Like in Red, the 2 and 3 should at least align together but they are being shuffled in w/ 4, or 5 in brooklyn stations and the same w/ letters; I’m not understanding why ACE are not together from BDFK; is there ordering or is there not ordering? I do like being able to at least move around the list of different color of services, but the shuffling of them in order doesn't seem useful to me.

Can we at least get some comment from the developer?

I see all the posts and I feel like these are fair complaints. I'm curious to get a comment from the developers about what is going on right now. Maybe explain if they'll be addressing some of the complaints or an apology for any loose ends, you know something.

I just feel like we are getting crickets from them. Like a post just saying "i hear you--we are working on this" would be nice. I bought the game early on last year and i just bought it again in steam. I would never want a refund bc i've played the games for 100s of hours so its money well spent (for me). I just hate to see what's going on right now.

Notable improvements in pathfinding with v1.4.13

I definitely seeing some improvements with pathfinding in 1.4.13; yesterday it'd take me 20-30 minutes to clear up issues and today i built a long stretch and it worked first try.

Why are short tracks causing so many pathing issues?

There's no way this was always a thing that existed in previous versions of the game. I have had to build tight curves especially in new york many times; now i'm seeing that short tracks are the culprit. Why should two tracks coming together even create a signal and end point of a block? At first i thought it made sense but now i'm not so sure--if a train blocks two blocks, what would it matter, the other trains would have to hold--so why is it programmed into this version of the game?

I've attached two examples--where there are just signals in the middle of tracks for no apparent reason--there's nothing merging, no crossover, and nothing intersecting at the same grade, so why is this happening? It's not even consistent--i have other places with several aggregated track stretches and no signals.

Can you please clean this up or at least confirm if this is a bug?

Pathing issues question/length of track

I've been working in the new update 1.4.10 and mostly everything's been working except when I started building communter rails. I started getting the warning about no pathing found even with simple layouts and I've noticed that it may have something to do w/ the length of the track not being able to be any shorter than [i guess] the length of a train at it's longest for that track. I tested this also with heavy rail and get these issues as well but far less since i purposely have my trains at no more than 10 cars in length. But in the commuter rails with up to 14 cars i think its happening much more often.

After turning on signal dots i'm seeing that there are signals between each stretch of built track--so has it always been like this? bc I feel like that was not the case in other maps i've worked on or it never was never something that caused pathing issues before. I understand the concept but just was curious if I'm going crazy.
