Book about a girl who experiences a transformation over a few days

I remember reading this in primary school in the UK, but I don't really remember very much.
it would've been mid/late 2000sish
it's a book about a girl who I think might be kinda bad/often in trouble and she starts to experience like a weird transformstion. over the course of few days/a week she starts to change, and I remember her looking in the mirror and changing a little bit more each day and being embarrassed?/wanting to hide it
i feel like towards the end of the book she has to go on a school trip
I'm not sure if it was a picture book or not, but I was very young, about 6 so something for that age range
it's the same sort of premise of flat stanley where something unrealistic and weird randomly happens to the kid
I have a memory of this book being read out to the class, and I would love to find the book!
