Would i be an asshole of i confronted my friend based on my own suspicions?
This is my first time posting on reddit so forgive me if ive not done it well. 😅. But this has been keeping me up and i figured i could get some advice from reddit. Cuz that's definitely the place to go.... 🧍
I 18F and my friend 19F, Ill call her H, have been friends since we were kids. We drifted about when she went to high-school but we grew close when we both ended up in the some course at college.
For the college course we had to do 750 hours of volunteer hours at a setting (we do early years childcare so 0-4) and for the past two years i uave been at the placement working with my auntie (48F). Then after sbojt a year H's placement fired her and she came to work at my placement.
A few weeks ago was my last week at this placement and i was saying my last goodbyes when i noticed some strange behaviour coming from a lot of the staff. In fact months before this many staff members were talking about where I'd go after this but never speaking to H about that stuff. Many of the ones i was closer with seemed shocked when ibsaid i wasnt going to be officially employed. And one of them said "But H- nevermind" and changed the conversation.
More recently i saw throught the window while playing with the children that my auntie was taking H out of the room she was working in and bringing her to the office. Both panicked when the saw me.
The most recent thing that rung my alarm bells was when me and my college friend group went out. The other three H , J 18f and S 19 f, were in the line for their food and i was waiting for them when i heard S say "you got to stay? Thats nice" then H immediately told her to shush when she noticed me.
So now im in crying in my room overthinking everything about my entire friendship circle. Advice would be appreciated, please be nice about it though. I cant tell if im being paranoid or my friends are all conspiring against me...
