I recently faced a player in the arena who was doing a 26+2 FC with 2 in stone and 2 in gold in the Dark Age. I’ve tried it myself, and it lets you get a defensive castle almost instantly in the Castle Age whilst still having the economy to add 2 TCs and then a monastery.

This keeps you safe against all-in strategies whilst not falling behind on the boom (or only very slightly). What do you think?

I recently tried playing Monk Light Cavalry on Arena for the relics, but several times I’ve been countered by pikemen, with no immediate response. Players can also drop a castle whilst still having a small wall, and my scouts can’t counter that.
