Brushing a cat with THICK fur
So my little buddy has an insanely thick and long coat. He's part Siberian or something and sheds like it's his job. Half the time you look at him, he's just a pile of fur with a little face on top. He's had problems with mats before, but not in a long while. I think he tries to groom himself, but he has some problem getting to his butt. I see him do it, but his hair is so long that whenever he tries licking his back end, the hair gets stuck on his tongue and it doesn't come off until he puts his leg down and that just makes him stop. He seems to otherwise groom himself enough, but he does get hairballs. He's had issues with constipation lately because of it. I brush him every day, but he's not a fan of it so I can't do it for too long.
I've been wondering if there are better tools I could use? I've attached pictures of my combs. I use the yellow Furblaster one every day. Trying to use the blue one seems pointless, nothing ever comes up. Thoughts and recommendations are welcome, please and thank you.
