[Complete] [1,300] [Memoir] No Place for Embarrassment / Looking for nurses or medical professionals for feedback

Hi everyone,

I am looking for beta readers with a nursing or medical background to read a short, completed 1,300-word memoir. I am not looking to do a critique swap at this time.

Logline: A routine, highly sensitive corrective procedure turns into a medical crisis when a surgeon mistakenly injects local anesthetic mixed with adrenaline into an extremity. Abandoned by the doctor, the patient is left alone with a young observer nurse who must manage the physical fallout and the intense emotional vulnerability of the situation.

Why Nurses? The story hinges on the shift from a clinical, slightly detached hospital environment to a moment of profound, protective patient care. I want to ensure the nursing dynamics, bedside manner, and emotional weight feel completely authentic to the profession.

Content Warning: Discussion of an adult urological procedure and a medical error. (No graphic or explicit anatomical descriptions).

Format: Available as a mobile-friendly PDF.

Feedback Needed: General flow, authenticity of the nurse's dialogue/actions, and overall emotional impact.

If you have a medical background and about 10 minutes to spare, please comment below or send me a DM! Thank you so much for your time.
