What to wear & what to do in January??
Hi guys! My gf and i will be going to Vancouver for 2 weeks in January. (12 to 24).
And my first concern it is, what type of clothes we need to survive the winter? As we are coming from Merida, which is always very hot, i don't exactly have a lot of winter clothes. I have an Adolfo Dominguez multi-pocket hooded parka, although its a big jacket it's only water-resistant (did some research), and i also some knitted sweaters. Any tips on what else i should bring?
We would some love to go to the mountains and do some snow activities! Maybe allocate like 3-4 days to do, but i think we will spend most of the time on the city. So any tips on what to wear for going to the mountains, do some snowshoeing or maybe try skii, would love it.
Just as note, i would prefer not to spend a lot on winter clothes, as these clothes will probably end up buried in my closet cause i cant use it here.
And general tips on things to do and visit on Vancouver (if you know any good breweries to try, drop them), would love to read them.
And, still not sure if we will be renting a car or not, maybe only for the days going to the mountain? What would you recommend?
