is it normal to need walking breaks the whole run?
i know beginner plans always say it’s fine to mix running and walking, but honestly i still feel kind of embarrassed about how often i need to stop. i can barely run a few minutes straight before i feel out of breath and have to walk again. sometimes i look around and everyone else seems to be jogging nonstop while i’m over here struggling to keep moving.
i’m trying not to compare myself to other people but it’s hard. i started running because i wanted to improve my fitness and lose some weight, but right now it feels like i’m barely even a runner. i usually do around 30 minutes total with a mix of jogging and walking, and by the end i’m exhausted.
for people who started the same way, did your endurance eventually improve just by staying consistent? how long did it take before you could actually run longer without stopping all the time?
