BMW E60 CCC - Unable to access iDrive, no signal
Hi,
I have a BMW E60 (2008) with an aftermarket ZLink/CarPlay Android screen installed on a CCC unit.
Recently, I lost access to the original BMW iDrive menu. When I try to switch back to iDrive, the BMW logo appears, then the screen shows “No Signal” for a second, and it keeps repeating without ever loading the iDrive menu.
I have also found a loose cable labeled “iDriver” that appears to come from the Android screen/interface. I’ve attached a photo of it.
Does anyone know where this cable is supposed to be connected?
Could this loose/disconnected “iDriver” cable be the reason why I can no longer access the original iDrive menu? Or could it be just a spare/optional cable from the manufacturer?
