AITA for refusing to photoshop my female clients to look skinnier and younger?
I’m a professional female photographer and I’m honestly so fucking exhausted.
Every single time I send out a gallery, at least 3-4 women message me:
“Can you make me look 15 lbs lighter and remove my wrinkles? I want to look like I did 10 years ago.”
I already do natural skin retouching, color grading, fix lighting and make people look their best. I’m not a plastic surgeon with a Photoshop license.
Last week one client literally told me: “My husband said I look old in these photos, can you fix it?”
I said no. She left me a 1-star review calling me “unprofessional and rude”.
Am I the asshole for not wanting to lie to women about how they actually look? Or has the entire photography industry just turned into an expensive filter service?
