I’m free

I’m free

After 6 years using Nexplanon, I’ve decided to give my body a break from birth control altogether and got my implant removed today. I’ve been battling negative side effects after the replacement of the first implant (the first three years were fine, once it got replaced it seemed to change). I have just forced myself to keep pushing through cause “it could be worse.” A couple months ago I said fuck that, I’m done with dealing with ovarian cysts, huge breakouts, weight gain, feeling distant and not truly myself, and ready to give my body a reset. This will be the first time in 11 years I haven’t been on birth control at all, and I’m nervous but excited to be back to ‘normalcy’. If anyone has any tips or advice/warnings as to what I may experience within these next few months, please share! (Especially with how to deal with this wrap for 24 hrs, it’s already driving me crazy)
