People who say Kane only statpads against small teams should not be putting Mbappe in Ballon d'or conversations.

Mbappe's 3 Golden boots are impressive, bit let's see how he won it: He scored 4 goals against Olympiacos and 3 goals against a team from Kazakhstan, both in the league phase. World Cup Golden boot he won by scoring a brace in a useless 3rd place match where both teams played without passion and hunger. If Kane is statpadding, then that's definitely statpadding too. I find this whole argument to be stupid, because I think both Kane and Mbappe are amazing and deliver in the big games (Kane vs Real Madrid, PSG, DR Congo and Mbappe vs Bayern Munich, Paraguay, Morocco) but it feels like double standards to apply this criticism to one player while sparing another. If you're to criticise Kane for not scoring vs Argentina, you should critisise Mbappe for not scoring vs Spain too. In the end it comes down to whether you value 73 goals or 3 golden boots the most but please stop this "Kane statpads against small teams" narrative, Mbappe does it too.

People take Kane scoring goals for granted

Harry Kane has scored in 13 out of 15 Knockout games he has played in, including against Real Madrid, PSG, Dortmund, not to mention a hattrick in the German cup final. But I still hear people saying he ghosts in big games.

Kvaratskhelia's Ability is overshadowed by his lack of minutes played.

On his day Kvaratskhelia does wonders, his 25/26 UCL campaign is the proof of that. The only other player I'd put on his level would be Harry Kane, maybe not even him.

But I just can't call him The Best In the world, it doesn't feel like it. He's not a consistent starter in Ligue 1 and lacks minutes. That's why I'd put players like Kane and Olise over him. I tell you what, if Kvaratskhelia was a consistent starter in Ligue 1 and wasn't getting rested so much, He would be getting way more Ballon d'Or shouts even though it's a world cup year.

A lot of people praise Dembele for being PSG's best player, which I understand, but to me Kvaratakhelia was the most important piece in PSG Attack.

Hot take: Dembele did nothing special this season and PSG would've won the UCL even without him.

Is it too crazy to say that? Sure he scored goals vs Liverpool and Bayern but completely ghosted in the final and was generally considered to be shit before Liverpool 2nd leg. PSG's best players this season were Kvaratskhelia, Pacho and Vitinha. I've seen people put Dembele in Ballon d'or conversations when in my opinion he shouldn't even make Top 5.

A lot of people have been calling it a "Defensive Disasterclass" and I just can't take them seriously. Nuno Mendes is notorious for being the best LB in the world, potentially one of the best in history, but even he got skinned by Olise multiple times.

Bayern Munich Defenders conceded 5 goals because they had to play against Kvara and Dembele. They are NOT conceding 5 goals against Gyokeres and Trossard.
