Existing PC Player via XBox app - what if I buy the Steam version premium bundle?
So I'm a Day 1 player, I should know the answer to this but here we are. I know the good people of Reddit can help me out!
I own SoT and play via the XBox app on PC. No game pass or any of that stuff, I just fire up my PC and play. All good, no issues.
I already play Insiders on Steam, linked accounts no problem, and switch between Steam and XBox versions for various boring reasons without any problems.
But I see SoT is on sale on Steam, and the premium bundle comes with a heap of emporium stuff I don't have plus 1k ancient coins.
If I buy the premium bundle, install Steam, fire it up, link the accounts, launch the Steam version and play the game, will I get the Premium version cosmetics and ancient coins?
If I then go back to playing on XBox, do I still keep the premium cosmetics I got from Steam?
Also, I get ancient coins using Microsoft Rewards (about 1k per month), these transfer to my SoT account using the XBox app. If I play on Steam does this stop me from using Microsoft Rewards to get ancient coins?
If I get ancient coins via Steam (not sure why I would do that, but perhaps there will be a sale), are these also available to spend if I play on the XBox app?
My experience with the Insiders version tells me that the cosmetics all transfer over from one to the other seamlessly (it's all linked to the same account, so makes sense), but Insiders isn't the main build and it might not be locked down the same way.
Anyone got any insight here?
